EMLEY SHOW SOCIETY REGULATIONS
1 No person will be allowed in Marquees during judging except Judges and Officials.
2 Objection to any exhibit must be made in writing to the Secretary before 4pm on the day of the show accompanied by a fee of £2 which will be returned if the objection is sustained and if considered frivolous will go to the funds of the Society.
3 On no account will cheap-jacks, while-you-wait photographers, hawkers or vendors of articles, excepting those officially authorised by the Society be permitted within the Showground, and any person or persons attempting to infringe this regulation will find themselves considered to be trespassers and liable to be ordered out of the Showgrounds.
4 All exhibits are exhibited at owner's risk. Owners should have appropriate public liability insurance cover. Although every care will be taken, the Society cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage, howsoever caused.
5 Exhibitors' tickets will be issued on the basis as set out under the individual sections in the schedule.
6 Any dispute arising from whatsoever cause will be settled by the Committee and their decision must be accepted as final, without any further appeal to law.
7 All claims must be made by 4pm and, if there be two or more claimants for any exhibit, the same shall be put up for auction and sold to the highest bidder. The Society will take 10% of catalogue price and 50% above.
8 All exhibits must be the Bona-fide property of the exhibitor at the time the entry is made.
9 The Committee reserves to itself, the right to refuse any entry or entries without giving any reason for so doing. In the event of entries being of inadequate standard or insufficient in number, the Judge may, at his discretion, reduce the number of prizes awarded or cancel the class, except in cases where the breed or Society rules call for the retention of these classes.
10 All persons attend this Show at their own risk.
11 All vehicles are parked in the car park and showground at owner's risk.
12. All perpetual trophies are the responsibility of the holder and must be returned to the Secretary in good condition 28 days before the date of the next show. Trophies to be collected from the Trophy Secretary's tent between the hours of 10am-12.30pm and 2pm onwards.
13 All entries must be available at the time stated for judging, and whilst every effort will be made to maintain the timetable, the Council reserves the right to make alterations.
